Lærer Siri Nan Lockertsen

Hello to you 🙂

Welcome to my website, which gives you a certain overview of Lær Mer Norsk - an idealistic project that started with a Facebook page in 2018, and which has later developed in all possible directions.

If you take the time to read my presentation/description (below), you will perhaps understand what kind of teacher I am - what drives me, how I work, and why I receive all this nice feedback on my work.

Lær Mer Norsk = min fantastiske arbeidsplass

I have worked as a Norwegian teacher since 2007 - at a number of traditional institutions in different towns. Moving from place to place and experiencing different schools, structures and solutions has helped me to see this the teacher's work in a wider perspective. Working within a single institution for a long time can skew your focus. You become a government official, who has to work within frameworks and requirements that do not always take into account the actual situation of immigrants. Lær Mer Norsk was established based on a desire to let immigrants themselves have a voice - in relation to what, how and when they want to learn.

I love to be free to think in new ways - create new resources - find new ways to learn - based on what immigrants have told me. I love seeing people benefit from my work. My genuine desire to see growth and good results always leads me to ask, "How can I contribute? What can I do better? How can I get people motivated?"

Learn more Norwegian is like a tractor. It slowly works its way forward and plows new fields where things can grow. I am both the "engine", the "fuel" and the "driver", and it is the fruit of my labor that keeps me going. It's all the positive feedback that drives me on. The collaboration with the pupils/students is my "Statoil" where I get the energy to continue working. 🙂

On YouTube and in "the digital classroom", people say that I am a skilled Norwegian teacher: "You speak clearly, and explain well and thoroughly, so that everyone can understand." They also like my method, which is based on conversation and a very nice structure. I love my job and enjoy working with my students. That is why I meet everyone with openness, confidence and enthusiasm. This makes people relax - not afraid to try talking.

Learning and coping must go hand in hand. It is extremely important.

Many people believe that a long CV can make a good teacher. Yes - there is no doubt that my 7 years at college/university have given me important knowledge. But what do you do next with this knowledge? How do you go about becoming a master of your craft? What is your focus? What is your goal? It is your conviction and attitude that really count. 🙂

I have been a Norwegian teacher since 2007. All these years I have spent getting to know immigrants - talking to people and hearing what they think. I want to understand what challenges they have - in the face of traditional courses and in relation to how difficult and time-consuming it is to learn this language. Only one who understands all aspects of this process can become an excellent teacher.

A SPECIAL THANKS ❤️

I want to send a big warm thanks to my best best friend Mutaz O. Abubaker, who in 2018 encouraged me to use my "expertise" on YouTube. Lær Mer Norsk would actually never have existed without your fantastic positive stubbornness. 🙂 As a Digital Marketer / Seo Specialist, you have also been an invaluable help in my attempt to build my own website, and in my need to understand how algorithms work. I thank you for the fact that today I have the best workspace/place in the world. ❤️
